Our privacy policies and Consent Agreements are crystal clear:

  • We do not and will not disclose, sell, or share your health and personal information with third parties for marketing, advertising, commercial or any purpose other than providing you with our health-related services. For example: occasionally, a case is complex enough that we present it to an outside specialist physician for consultation, to get to the bottom of patterns that fall beyond the specialties we cover in house. This counts as a third party in the strict sense, and your case might be reviewed by someone outside HealthieOne. It only happens when it directly serves your care, and it falls under the part of our privacy policy that allows sharing "as needed to provide your health services." When we do reach out for that occasional outside specialist input, it is most often through our colleagues at Johns Hopkins, with whom we have a very close working relationship. So those consultations happen within a tightly trusted network of physicians and scientists who hold themselves to the same privacy and clinical standards we do.
